Which methods are used depends on what is best for the individual student or the company training its employees? Would the company prefer to have their staff trained at The Career Center?
Instructor Qualifications
Having a good instructor is crucial for successful studies. The teachers at The Career Center are experts who know their material and can communicate it. They are patient, understanding and supportive. New York State law requires that all schools, instructors and curriculums are licensed by the Education Department and our professionals meet these specifications. They are also vendor-certified in the subject they are teaching.
How big is the class?
A small class supports personalized instruction and students will get more individual attention. At The Career Center, there are usually 14 students in a class.
Are students going to have the use of their own computer?
The Career Center considers one PC per student as necessary for training in all subjects. Students will try each lesson as it is taught.
What are the classrooms like?
Classrooms should be clean, modern and separate from other rooms. Students must be able to concentrate. At The Career Center, classrooms are set up to maximize students’ learning capacity.
Will students receive a course manual?
A manual means not having to take notes during class, guidance during practice, and a resource later on to refresh students’ memory. The manual must be organized and clearly written. At The Career Center, students will be provided with the practice material designed for their curriculum.
How long has the company been in business?
Newer schools might still have some kinks in their courses. The Career Center was founded in 1988 and has since that time been a well-established and reliable institution.
Has the company been recommended by a Third-party?
Don't just take the training company's word. Have they been recommended by a newspaper or magazine? What do their former students say?
